Description: This spiderwort prefers dry soils, but it is also found in moister conditions. The flowers bloom on 3 foot stems with 1inch wide, tri-petaled blue-purple flowers. The flowers have yellow-tipped stamen. Each flower opens in the morning and lasts for one day. Combine with Penstemon digitalis. It attracts hummingbirds.
